This course provides practical training in immunohistochemistry techniques used for protein localisation and biomarker assessment in clinical and research settings. Participants learn the complete IHC workflow, including fixation, antigen retrieval, antibody optimisation, detection chemistry, counterstaining, slide evaluation, and basic interpretation of staining patterns. Emphasis is placed on control selection, troubleshooting, artefact recognition, and factors affecting sensitivity and specificity. The course also introduces automated IHC platforms, workflow standardisation, and quality assurance considerations relevant to diagnostic laboratories.
