Course Description

Learning Objectives 

- Importance of Tissue recognition in lab validation

- Criteria for Accurate Tissue recognition

- Common Tissue types encountered in the lab

- Standardisation and Quality Control measures 

- Characteristics of most common tissues for recognition  

Course Format:  

Online: Sessions will be hosted virtually by our experienced HCPC State registered BMS team or one of our consultant histopathologists.  

VLE: Virtual Learning Environment containing information on each module. Trainees will be requested to consolidate their knowledge by completing tasks set by their training coordinators. 

Is this course for me: 

This CPD course is designed for professionals who are currently working within the NHS or private histopathology laboratory as band 5 or at higher band role.  The course will expand your knowledge on the recognition of common tissue types during quality control (QC). 

Certification: 

Upon successful completion of the course and assessment, participants will receive a certificate.
